![]() Mohammad Monawwar Ateeq completed his initial studies at Hazrat Sultan Bahu Trust, Birmingham (UK) where he covered several Islamic and Arabic disciplines under specialised teachers. He furthered his studies in Damascus, under Allamah Sayyid Muhammad al-Yaqoubi, Shaykh Gibril Haddad and other notable scholars and later in Pakistan. Shaykh Monawwar took the Naqshbandi path from his father, Shaykh Muhammad Abdullah Ateeq and received khilafa in the Qadiri Order from the Sufi Master and Teacher of Lahore, Allamah Abdul Hakim Sharaf Qadiri (ra), along with other Ijazas in the Islamic sciences from numerous scholars. His special study areas are Kalam, Tasawwuf and Hadith and is currently occupied in writing and teaching the traditional Islamic sciences. He completed his MA Islamic Studies at the University of Birmingham in 2009. |
